About the Company: Our client is a specialist in bespoke handmade joinery and complete residential and commercial refurbishment projects. Their HQ is in Uxbridge where they produce and schedule all high end quality aspects of Joinery. Their main Client demand is in Central London working on prestige home and office refurbishment projects. They provide a broad range of bespoke individual and specialist building services, from in house design through to construction, refurbishment and on-going maintenance. Most of their work comes from repeat business and very prestigious and well known client referrals. The company employs its own workforce and projects range from small works up to the value of £5m, all of which use the finest materials.

About the Role: Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman. At present they are expanding their business and have many new projects coming up and already started in and around the London area. You will be reporting directly to the Project/Contracts Manager. You must have knowledge of building processes and will be responsible for all works from site set up to finishing. You will need to have experience of taking a project from start to completion and must be willing to be hands on as well as a proven man manager and motivator.

You duties will include:

•Willing to work on tools as and when required

•Ensure all plant, tools and equipment are in good working order

•Order materials

•Support Site operatives to ensure programmes are met

•Attend site meetings as required

•Ensure that all day-to-day tasks are completed

•Review operatives competences

•Ensure all operatives are clean & tidy

•Carry out any reasonable request of a similar nature as directed by Management.

•Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.

•Ensure all employees/sub-contractors conduct themselves in a safe working manner.Report and record accidents in accordance with Company, client and legislative requirements, ensuring that immediate first aid is given when needed.

About the benefits / rewards: You will be well rewarded for your hard work with a remuneration package that will correspond to the individuals experience and skills. The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary of between £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (£160 – £180 per day)

Requirements: Candidates will ideally have a carpentry background and have at least 3-4 years as a Foreman with a solid permanent employment background. Industry experience will be in the High End residential area. Candidates should be able to demonstrate successful project delivery with the ability to work without support or supervision and a mature attitude to work. You will need to have experience of fit out and finishes of residential developments to a very high standard.
