Role: Site Manager

Location: South East London

Salary; £40,000 – £60,000

About the Company:

Our prestigious client is a leading property, residential, construction and services group which invests in, builds, maintains and renews. They operate globally across a range of sectors including defence, education, health, housing, industrials, power, transport and utilities. Our client is a well-respected main contractor with a turnover of over circa £5bn and an order book around £10bn; they have the financial strength and technical expertise to undertake some of the most significant construction, civil engineering contracts in the country. The company ensures that all staff are properly trained and experienced and they annually carry out a review of staff training needs.

About the Role:

You will oversee the day to day running operations on a £20m Educational Project in South East London which is part of EFA school framework. If you like team work, variety, flexibility and love a challenge then this opportunity is ideally suited to you. You will be responsible for;

 

  • liaising with clients and reporting progress, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public
  • supervising contracted staff
  • meeting subcontractors
  • making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
  • checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • maintaining quality control procedures
  • motivating the workforce
  • problem solving
  • using specialist construction management computer applications

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Must have at least 5 years recent, solid experience as a Site Manager.
  • Must have a natural attention to detail and a strong personality/character
  • You must be able to own problems and be capable of managing day to day without supervision
  • Candidates must have strong communication skills

 

Salary/ Benefits:

 

Salary will be in the region of £40,000 – £60,000. In addition to this you will receive a generous benefits package including travel, pension and healthcare.
