Site Manager – Hotel Build / Fit out

Our client was formed 10 years ago by a group of highly experienced construction leaders with backgrounds in private and public sector new build and refurbishment contracts. About the Role:

Our client requires a Site Manager reporting into the Project Manager on a complex £20m hotel build. The frame and cladding is almost completed with the project approaching the internals. The contract is being completed for one of the globes best known hotel brands, and will hold 4 star facilities including restaurant, bar and business / conferencing suites.

Typical Duties will include:

  • Ability to communicate with the Project, Contracts Manage and any support staff
  • The ability to produce short term programmes in line with overall contract programme
  • To contribute and chair on occasion subcontractor meetings
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both our Client and their representatives.
  • Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the Employers Requirements
  • Responsible for all Health & Safety issues on the site
  • Work with the commercial team in the selection of subcontractors and ensure that they are effectively managed throughout the project
  • Responsible for ensuring the desired quality is achieved
  • The ability to requisition all materials procured directly


About the benefits / rewards:

Salary will be in the region of £55,000 – £65,000, with additional travel allowance, pension scheme and healthcare. Suitable candidates will have a strong background in Site Management on large construction projects, ideally within hotels in London or internationally from a main contract background. The ideal individual will be highly motivated, idea-driven and capable of exceeding expectations. Lateral thinking and highly developed problem-solving abilities should be coupled with a very strong academic background and a track record of projects.The ideal candidate will have an initial exposure of working for a main contractor.
