About the role

Due the company opening up a new office in Hampshire and continuing to win lots of work, they’re now looking for a site engineer to join there highways division. The successful candidate will need to co-ordinate the site engineering control activities to satisfy contract programme requirements, delegating or carrying out setting out as necessary. You’ll need to ensure the standard Company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors. The projects that you’ll be involved in 278 works, s38 works as well as construction and maintenance of highways and road works.

You’ll be in charge of assisting the Site Manager in the initial site set-up, ensuring Company systems and procedures are in place and implemented. It’s important to note you’ll need to apply effective planning techniques, methods analysis and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of resources.

Civil Engineering Qualification – Degree level or equivalent.

Setting out experience.

Background working on highways and heavy civil engineering infrastructure projects.

Ideally I’ll need someone with 2 + years’ experience working for one tier 1 or tier 2 company within highways.
