Senor Site Manager – Main Contracting

Our client was formed 10 years ago by a group of highly experienced construction leaders with backgrounds in private and public sector new build and refurbishment contracts. The Role

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Site Manager who will be based on projects within London. The role will be leading a site reporting directly into a project based Senior Project Manager. You will be involved with the project from inception through to handover and will be required to interact closely with the client at all stages of the construction process. You will be responsible for new build / cut & carve and refurbishment projects between £10m and £20m within the commercial and residential markets. Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:


  • Direct and manage a team of Site Managers, Engineers, Foreman and Quantity Surveyors
  • Make management decisions pertaining to project issues with minimal supervision throughout the project
  • Demonstration of strong Commercial awareness
  • Planning of construction
  • Client liaison
  • Manage and instruct the project staff and ensure duties are completed to the highest standards.
  • Overall responsibility for the completion of projects on time and budget
  • Manage day to day operational duties.
  • On-going efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Build, grow and develop business relationships for the success of the project
  • Provide feedback and record information from the project for continuous staff development.


Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £55,000 – £70,000. In addition to this you will receive a generous benefits package including Car Allowance, Pension, Healthcare, Bonuses.



Suitable candidates will have a strong background in Main Contracting. You will be experienced in management of new build / cut and carve projects in excess of £10 million and ideally within commercial / residential build in the private sector. The candidate will have top 50 contractor experience. The individual will be highly motivated, idea-driven and capable of exceeding expectations. Lateral thinking and highly developed problem-solving abilities should be coupled with a very strong academic background and a track record of managing projects.
