Senior Site Manager – High End Residential

About the Company:

Our client is a well-respected construction company who have been in the industry for over 25 years now. They started the business off by carrying out small extensions to prestigious properties and they now cover New Build and Refurbishments on High end residential side to a very high standard. Some of their projects that they have completed include a General refurbishment and an extension to a Wimbledon property and a Refurbishment of a Chelsea restaurant. They are now responsible for the construction of some of South West London’s finest homes.


About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Site Manager looking to step into a more Senior Site Manager role, reporting into the Contracts Manager.  The Manager will be able to run build and refurbishment projects as number one on site across traditional and Design and Build contracts, with duties including but not limited to:

  • To execute projects to the agreed programme, in line with HSEQ standards expected by the client and company.
  • Have considerable experience in high-end refurbishment and basement projects.
  • Good understanding of groundworks, RC structures and temporary works.
  • Take ownership for the project’s HSEQ matters on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with the pre-construction / construction team on:  buildability and programme issues; review and comment on design information issues by both consultants and suppliers.
  • Capable of writing an exhaustive Construction Phase Health Plan.
  • Be an excellent communicator, working closely with all stakeholders at all stages throughout, in particular, M&E coordination.
  • Manage projects in line with the agreed finance and production targets and reports.
  • Have a very good understanding of all commercial aspects, cost control, supply chain and procurement.
  • Be well organised with excellent record keeping.
  • Have client-facing responsibility

About the benefits and reward:

The base package is circa £55,000 – £65,000 and the company main ambition is to bring an individual into the organisation with the ability to grow and become a valued member of the team. There will also be a generous benefits package in addition the basic salary which will include Car, Health and Pension. The Suitable candidate will have extensive experience in managing prestigious high end build, basements & refurbishments. You will need to be an articulate individual who is capable of communicating to suppliers, clients and staff.


It is also expected you will be proficient in and hold the following qualifications as a minimum:

  • Microsoft Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS (Black card preferred)
