Current turnover of this business stands excess of £100M and areas of expertise include demolition, engineering, remediation, environmental and rail services, with project carried out throughout the UK with a large focus on London and Home Counties.

About the position:

Our client is recruiting permanently for an experienced Senior Remediation Scientist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the contaminated Land / Remediation sector. This position will combine a mix of both office and site based work and as a Scientist you will be responsible for handling the front line delivery of a range of ex –situ and in-situ remediation contracts. Primary tasks and duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical proposal writing
  • Client liaison / progress reporting
  • Report review and interpretation
  • Preparation of permits, licences and consents (MTP, MMP and notifications)
  • Management of site data / scheduling
  • Remediation strategy / Implementation planning

Essential Qualification / Training:

To be considered for this position, individuals must have a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience within the contaminated land / remediation sector and hold a degree in a related discipline which grounding in contaminated land. In addition to this, the successful individual must have hands on experience of sampling / logging, hold a valid CSCS card and have a solid understanding of UK Contaminated Land Regime. Given the work involved, individuals must have a full UK Driving license to be considered.

Desirable Training and Knowledge:

Remediation Scientists with industry specific training / qualifications – i.e. CLAIRE / WAMITAB and knowledge of project management and waste classification will be of high interest.

About the rewards / benefits:

For this role we are targeting candidates looking to earn anywhere between £30,000-£55,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.  Additionally, there will be a generous package offered in addition to other benefits associated with a large successful company.
