In partnership with their growing client base we have developed a unique range of services enabling for them to design, install and connect networks that bring electricity, gas, water and ultra fast fibre to your developments. The group are currently turning over £240M and with the amount of work they continue to win the turnover is likely to continue to increase.

About the role

Due to the company rebuilding their commercial team, there is need for a senior quantity Surveyor to support the commercial manager, you will be responsible for managing costs with the goal of making as much profit as possible for the company on the projects you’ll be working on and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing client relationships. The successful individual will be involved in viewing and evaluating payments including site measurements as necessary) and will undertake general surveying of projects as required including reviewing and pricing of variations and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Director. The projects that you’ll be involved in will be high volume and low valued water projects throughout London and the Home Counties.

The company aren’t just looking for somebody with a good surveying background, they’re looking for somebody who has experience with looking and managing a team of surveyors and more importantly somebody who’s very passionate about looking after and managing their own team.

No free lances will be considered for this role.

About the requirements

You’ll be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction , Civils, commercial management or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification.

It’s important to have experience working within Water for a tier 1 or tier 2 Utilities company as a senior quantity surveyor and to show good long term stability at the companies you have worked for.

You’ll also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
