About the role:

Due to present and anticipated workload, our client has identified the need to expand their team and therefore is recruiting permanently for a Remediation Engineer. You will be based from their office in Essex and will assist in the delivery of contaminated land site investigation and remediation projects under the direction of Project Managers for larger projects and managing small projects independently.  Routine site or other technical work within the team will also be required (drilling, taking samples, analysis, modelling, etc).

As a Remediation Engineer, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out site or other technical work as instructed by others
  • Collecting and reporting of results to senior staff
  • Maintenance of key equipment for site and other technical work
  • Assisting with and providing technical input to site work
  • Assistance with technical report writing as appropriate
  • Project Manager for small projects or task manager responsibility for delivery of projects to customer on time, quality and cost.
  • Ensuring that delivery (project or task specific) is completed in line with the companies environmental, safety and quality standards at all times
  • Contributing to proposals as required
  • Identify potential for continuous improvement within technical delivery
  • Provide assistance in the effective compilation of tenders and strategy development

About the Requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is imperative that individuals have at least 1 years post graduate experience whilst  working within a contaminated land discipline and ideally a portion of this time will have been spent in remediation or on site, carrying out sampling, site investigations etc. Additionally, it would be beneficial if individuals have a working knowledge of a range of remedial technologies and due to the remit of work, must hold a full valid UK driving license.

About the rewards / benefits:

For this permanent role, we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere between £24,000 – £28,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.  Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered in addition to other benefits associated with a large successful company plus as this is a thriving business, excellent career development opportunities will be available.
