Salary – £50,000 to £55,000 plus package

About the role:

Due to healthy order books and company expansion, there is a need for a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Director in the successful commercial and financial management of projects and tenders.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of costs with an end goal of maximising the project margin and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing future client relationships. You will be involved from tender stage through to project completion, working under various forms of contract.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with the setting up of subcontract packages, carrying out a comparison of tenders, placing contract orders and meeting subcontractors on site. Furthermore, the successful individual will manage subcontractor accounts after works commence (reviewing and evaluating payments including site measurements as necessary) and will undertake general surveying of projects as required (reviewing and pricing of variations and the preparation of valuations in conjunction with Project Managers and the Commercial Director).

This is a permanent position in Jersey, therefore, our client is looking for individuals who are based in this area or who are willing to relocate (help with this will be provided).

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on experience and suitability however successful individuals can look to target a basic salary between £50,000 – £55,000.

In addition to this, our client will offer you a company car or car allowance, 23 days holiday a year which will increase after 5 years, medical insurance and also death and serious illness cover.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates will need to be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar. Additionally, candidates must have at least 3 years post graduate experience.
