The company is split into two different divisions, civil engineering and building. The company specializes in Civil Engineering, water & Wastewater, building homes, healthcare and renewables but the company does do all types of build and civil engineering.

The company is based within the UK and Republic of Ireland and have been well established for over 70 years and continue to keep growing, winning lots of work. The company is well known and thrives towards health and safety and this was made adamant when they won gold at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.  The group is Northern Irelands largest construction firm and in 2015 increased its annual turnover by 25% up to 298M.

About the role

Due to the company expanding there is now an opportunity to work for a growing pre construction team as a planner. Due to the company winning lots of projects and having a very strong pipeline they are now looking for a planner to come on board to work for the pre-construction team and report to the senior planner. The successful candidate will be involved in planning activities to go in line with the tender and contract requirements, Liaise with management and engineers to review the progress of construction projects and address issues. The candidate who’s successful will be expecting to travel to and from construction sites to make sure you know what’s happening on all the projects that they’re involved with.

Free lances won’t be considered for this role.

You’ll be rewarded with a very competitive salary of £55,000 to £75,000 based on experience.


You’ll be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction , Civils, Business of equivalent qualification.

It’s important to have experience working within civil engineering as a planner and to show good long term stability at the companies you have worked for (2-3 years per company you’ve worked for)

You’ll also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
