About the company

My client are a multi-disciplined tier one main contractor who are currently turning over 250M. They specilaise within a number of sectors such multi utility’s, water, civil engineering infrastructure, rail and renewables. The company are soon set to celebrate their 60 anniversary as a company, they currently have offices in Dorset, Kent, West London, Hertfordshire, Leeds, Liverpool, Sunderland and Livingston.

About the role

The company are looking for a Project Manager to join their utilities team in London and Buckinghamshire. You’ll have to manage, supervise, train and mentor the project team to enable them to optimise their work contribution. Set targets to measure performance, and drive continuous improvement of your team. You will be required to ensure the delivery of the performance is in line with targets and procedures. It’s important to be able to manage the process in a manner which enhances the reputation of the company and increases prospects for future work.

The work that you’ll be involved in will be multi utilities, covering water, waste water, gas, electric, street lighting and telecoms. The project is working on HS2 enabling works from London Euston over to Amersham which is a 3 and a half year project.

You will be rewarded with very good and competitive salary starting salary ranging from £45,000–£60,000 + package.

Requirements

You should be educated, as a minimum, to HNC in Construction/Civil Engineering Discipline or preferably have a BSc in Construction of Civil Engineering. You should have previously completed a 5 day SMSTS and holds CSCS at Management / Professionally Qualified Person level.

It is important you have experience working on projects with the valuation of £10 million plus to demonstrate you experience and ability as well as experience working on sewer rehabilitation contracts.

You should also have an understanding of the NRSWA and HAUC requirements and specifications and have good finance and organisational skills.

The company is looking for a candidate who is professional at all times and is used to working on the design and construction aspects of projects.
