Project Manager – Residential Build

The Company

Our client is a well renowned family owned construction group who operate across London and the South East. They have been in the construction business for over 40 years and have a well preserved reputation employing approximately 500 personnel. Our client is continually growing and adapting to the market’s needs. They offer a range of services across three defined divisions, new build residential, contracting and social housing/maintenance. Current & recent projects include and a £100m residential new build project across 4 phases and years and a £9m 51 low rise unit development. Other projects include new building for LA’s and a £5m new build college in East London.

The Role

There are three Project Management roles available within the new build residential division reporting directly to an Associate Director. The division has an excellent reputation for having the ability to deliver diverse residential projects, with recent contracts being delivered using RC Frame, Steel and Timber Frameand Brick and Block methods.

The role will be managing new build Residential sites, with current locations including East & North London, Essex and Hertfordshire. You will be involved with the project from pre-construction and will be required to interact closely with the client at all stages of the construction process. You will be responsible for contracts values between £5m and £20m. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Make management decisions pertaining to project issues with minimal supervision throughout the project.
  • Demonstration of strong Commercial awareness
  • Planning of construction
  • Client liaison
  • Manage and instruct the project staff and ensure duties are completed to the highest standards.
  • Overall responsibility for the completion of projects on time and budget
  • Manage day to day operational duties.
  • Ongoing efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Build, grow and develop business relationships for the success of the project
  • Provide feedback and record information from the project for continuous staff development.


Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £70,000 – £90,000. In addition to this you will receive a generous benefits package including Car Allowance, Pension & Healthcare. Suitable candidates will have a strong background in Project Management, working with main contractor, with a history of multi-unit residential builds encompassing RC Frame, Steel and timber frame and brick and block. The ideal individual will be highly motivated, idea-driven and capable of exceeding expectations.
