The company are a leading name within the rail industry based within the South East delivering a wide range of multi-disciplinary services across the infrastructure. The company have over 1400 teams across their network, maintaining, building and servicing the infrastructure.  This ensures that trains have reliable tracks to run on and that rail staff and passengers experience a clean, efficient, well maintained environment.

About the role

The company are looking for a Project Manager to join their rail team in London You’ll have to manage, supervise, train and mentor the project team to enable them to optimise their work contribution. Set targets to measure performance, and drive continuous improvement of your team. You will be required to ensure the delivery of the performance is in line with targets and procedures. It’s important to be able to manage the process in a manner which enhances the reputation of the company and increases prospects for future work.

The types of projects that you’ll be involved in will range from re railing, Conductor Rail Replacement, platform extensions, track renewals and Premises Maintenance.

No Freelances will be considered for this role.

You will be rewarded with very good and competitive salary starting salary ranging from £45,000–£60,000.


You should be educated, as a minimum, to HNC in Construction/Civil Engineering Discipline or preferably have a BSc in Construction of Civil Engineering. You should have previously completed a 5 day SMSTS and holds CSCS at Management / Professionally Qualified Person level.

It is important you have experience working on projects with the valuation of £1.5 million + to demonstrate you experience and ability as well as experience working on rail infrastructure projects.

You should also have an understanding of the NRSWA and HAUC requirements and specifications and have good finance and organizational skills.

The company is looking for a candidate who is professional at all times and is used to working on the design and construction aspects of projects.
