Project Manager – Foundations & Concrete Frame – N5

Project Manager – Foundations & Concrete Frame

North London Project (N5)

£65,000 – £85,000 + Full Benefits (PAYE)

£300 – £400 per day (Limited Company)

About the Role:

We have been asked to find specialist groundwork and concrete frame Project Managers capable of delivering packages ranging in value from £2 million up to £15 million each.

Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks, basement construction and concrete frame construction, while working on both residential and commercial projects.

Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, temporary works and client meetings).

About the Requirements

Suitable candidates will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years.

It is crucial that candidates can show a strong amount of concrete frame and groundwork construction background having worked for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK and ideally experience of working in London and the South East. Candidates from a main contract or different subcontract background cannot be considered.

Regarding software, our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.

About the Company:

Operating in and around London this specialist subcontractor works with a variety of commercial and residential businesses completing a variety of groundwork and concrete frame packages. They have been trading for over 30 years and currently are turning over circa £90 million per annum. They have modern offices in Middlesex as well as support yards in London. All of the core senior management and commercial functions operate out of their Middlesex office but each site has a dedicated contracts manager that is on hand to offer support to project managers where needed.

With a very low staff turnover and rarely a need to recruit, this role plus one other are purely due to expansion and new work and we have been tasked as the sole recruiter to find the right person.

Having met with this business and the leadership team, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a growing business where you will have a direct relationship with all the senior members of staff and a real opportunity to progress as you are ready.
