About the Role:


My client have an exciting new position for a well-established Project Manager to join their framework division based in Luton. They currently have numerous two stage tender projects at pre-construction phase via the ESFA, SCS & P22 Frameworks, and are seeking a client facing Project Manager with experience across these frameworks and the projects that come hand in hand to join their already busy team.


An example project that the PM would be required to deal with is a £7m 2 form entry primary school that consists of 2 story’s constructed from piles (located in a flood risk zone) – with suspended slab, and a SIPS timber frame and floored structure, overclad with a single ply membrane roof covering. There is a sports hall attached built from the same construction. The candidate will be expected to deal with tricky stakeholders and clients, as well as overseeing all construction on site, with responsibility of keeping to program, H&S and profitability.


This role will require a PM to oversee the project inception, influencing the quality of the bid with input to the pre-construction, through construction to handover, working closely with the design and commercial teams to keep to schedule, manage the H&S and maximise profits.


About the benefits / rewards:


The specific salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related roles and projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £65,000 – £80,000 which will also include various benefits relating to bonuses, travel and healthcare.




The ideal candidate will be a well-established Project Manager who has a stable background of working within Tier 1 Main Contractors on similar sized, two stage tender framework projects. The candidate should have experience of working on large projects, managing full circle new builds and / or refurbs from inception to completion. Career stability will be key in the selection process, as the client are keen to land a colleague with only a small handful of previous employers. The successful candidate will have a drive and motivation to progress within a well-established business with an eye for managing projects and progressing up the ranks.


Experience required:


  • Stable Background – Only a handful of previous employers
  • To be degree qualified in Construction Project Management
  • Hands on approach and can do attitude
  • Experienced in working on ESFA, SCS or P22 Frameworks
  • Experience of working on two stage tender construction projects
  • Managing projects through full life cycle
  • Experience of working in large organisations
  • Proactive in learning with ability to influence others
  • A good communicator, able to interact with clients in a positive engaging manner
  • A team player
