Pre Contracts Manager – Fit Out

About the Company:

Our client is a privately owned fit-out and refurbishment group of companies who are now well established in the Interiors market and have now been in business for over a decade. With an annual turnover in excess of £100milliion and 200 employees our client are well placed for continued growth in the fit out and refurbishment sector. They specialise in fit-out and refurbishment across different sectors including commercial, retail, offices and industrial properties. The company is a group of organisations that have been brought together to offer a complete range of services although each division operates as a separate company.

About the Role:

Our client currently has a requirement for Pre Contracts Manager. Candidates will ideally be from a Fit-out/Interiors background. The individual must be able to communicate well with both the commercial team and clients and have a professional but non adversarial approach with the emphasis of working together. The current portfolio comprises a mixture of Fit-out and refurbishments of the commercial property industry, retail, offices, and industrial properties in and around London.

This role will initially provide a lot of autonomy and will require the candidate to oversee the pre-construction process and to engage with the commercial and project teams. You will manage the project initial client brief/meeting through the pre contract stage. Which will encompass design development, risk analysis, estimating, technical evaluation, and tender document creation/collation.

About the benefits / rewards:

You will be well rewarded for your hard work with a remuneration package that will correspond to the individuals experience and skills, Company Car/Allowance/Mileage as well as the opportunity to progress within the company as it continues to develop. The guideline basic salary is £60,000 – £70,000, however this will be dependent upon the specific skills and experience of each individual. Employees will be promoted through the company at a rate that is comfortable for their abilities rather than within a set company structure. This encourages the strengths and successes of the company and each individual.

Requirements:

Suitable candidates will have worked within a commercial function (Estimating / Surveying or similar pre construction role) with a fit our or general construction contractor.Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, and conscientious. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. Experience with planning software will also be a requirement.
