Possessions Planner – Rail

A Possessions Planner is current required to join a Tier 1 leading Civil Engineering Contractor to work on a major infrastructure schemes in Berkshire. As an organisation they operate in a number or projects within Civil Engineering globally. Due to an ever increasing workload, the organisation has an immediate requirement. The ideal candidate should have previous experience of working on large scale projects. As the Possession planner you will be importing possessions into PPS, and also producing SSOW Packs for a number of large civils projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create works programs when required
  • Produce and publish isolation plans and isolation documentation
  • Create works programs as and when required and maintain and update the master program on a regular basis.
  • Co-ordinate and submit information to the client.
  • Submission of Road Closure requests
  • Brief all appropriate management and construction team on possession arrangements
  • Planning possession/protection arrangements.
  • Create works programs when required
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of all planned and programmed works and communicate the contents of this throughout the team on a regular basis.
  • Compile a possession report at the end of each period and submit this in a timely fashion to the relevant people.

Essential criteria:

  • Fully trained in Possessions and SSOW planning Trained and certificated as competent in Personal Track Safety Rules (PTS). Submission of Isolation requests.
  • 4 years experience in possession planning for civil engineering projects
  • At least 4 years experience working within the rail industry with an understanding of
