About the position:

Due to ongoing company expansion, our client who is a remediation and demolition contractor based in the North West of England, is actively recruiting for an experienced Plant Fitter who will be responsible for maintenance on their sites. You will need to be self-motivated, hold the correct technical ability and due to this being a roaming position, you must hold a full, UK driving license.

As a Plant Fitter, you will work on the general maintenance of the machine fleet, van and cabin fleet and will report to sites when required to carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance to all owned fleets. Whilst carrying out general maintenance as a Plant Fitter, you will also liaise with suppliers to order parts, collect parts, set up accounts and gain PO’s from the Office. In this position, as an experienced Plant Fitter, you will be required to communicate with the main office to keep them updated with machine movements on and off sites. Additionally, As a Plant Fitter you will be responsible for keeping records up to date which will include items ordered along with machines serviced/due in.

About the Requirements:

To be successful in this role as a Plant Fitter you will need to have demonstrable experience of plant maintenance or previous experience as a qualified fitter. Good organisational skills will be essential as well as experience using IT systems due to you being responsible for your own work load, organisation and record keeping. It is essential you are personable at all times due to the variety of people you will be dealing with and must be able to build long term, solid relationships with clients and suppliers.

About the rewards and benefits:

For this temporary to permanent position, the rate has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on previous experience and suitability so this will be discussed directly at the interview.
