The Company

Our Client is a Middlesex based leading steel engineering company, working on numerous projects across the Southeast of England. Our client designs, manufactures and assembles CE Marked structural steelwork and architectural metalwork for construction industry projects of all sizes. Established for over 30 years, they’ve proudly maintained strong working relationships with clients such as: Collins Construction; ISG; O’Halloran & O’Brien; Skanska; Willmott Dixon and many more. The company’s ability to oversee every aspect of steel manufacture and construction, bringing flexible but disciplined management to each project have consistently proved to be a major advantage to clients and their customers.

 

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, organised and efficient person who demonstrates excellent administration, interpersonal and IT skills. You need to be suitably qualified, experienced and have the necessary attributes to work with a highly committed team of staff in the Head Office of a fast paced, high pressure Construction Engineering firm.

 

Experience and Skills:

As a minimum you will have the following:

  • A construction background is essential along with 10 years office experience, 5 of those at management level.
  • Formal qualification in Business/Office management.
  • 55 wpm and excellent note taking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Dropbox experience.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training.

 

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrating the ability to relate well to staff of all levels including Upper Management and clients along with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven organisational skills along with the ability to find solutions and to think ahead.
  • Ability to manage a variety of competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast paced environment.
  • Good team player with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality, tact and discretion.
  • Excellent command of written and oral English is essential.

 

Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £27,000 – £35,000 Subject to skill and experience. The company offers a fantastic working environment and will provide the opportunity to progress your career through excellent guidance, support and training.
