About the Role:

Due to a forthcoming restructure within the business and the promotion of individuals to the board of directors there is the need to fill vacant positions below. The role that has come available is that of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to run all commercial responsibilities throughout the construction division of the organisation. This role will provide the individual to benefit from day to day hands-on guidance and support balanced with a comfortable level of autonomy to enable the individual to develop professionally to a role of Quantity Surveyor. You will take on responsibility for numerous projects and work closely with the project teams throughout delivery. You will be responsible for projects between £1m and £20m within the private residential market. The company has seen significant growth within the high spec residential sector over the last year through their current client base and have an extensive pipeline of work within this sector amongst others, primarily private clients.  Your role will include management of the surveying team, profit & loss reporting, reporting into the accounts division, full responsibility for all procurement, risk management. The role would ideally suit someone with a proven track record in similar sectors of industry, ideally with a background in quantity surveying. You will be responsible for maintaining established profit margins and improve wherever possible the company’s profits and ensure that all commercial project team members work in line with this.

About the benefits / rewards:

The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £60,000 – £70,000.  In addition to the basic salary there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health and travel allowance.

Requirements:  The candidate needs to have extensive experience of managing a range of projects ideally including high end residential. A balance of working on refurbishment and fit out projects would be ideal. Exceptional client facing skills are prerequisite as is the ability to manage projects ranging in value £1m to £20m.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate stability of employment throughout the duration of their career retaining each appointment for a minimum of 3 years per employer.
