About the role:

The role is for a Health and Safety Advisor responsible for providing support and assistance with matters of Health and Safety including compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and other associated statutory legislation, operating in a client facing capacity. Fulfilling the role as a professional and diligent Health and Safety/CDM advisor you will be responsible for providing professional and pragmatic advice on Health and Safety issues, as well as produce regular reports to clients on Health and Safety matters relating to projects.


You will provide advice, direct support and guidance on construction safety matters, and assist in-house training on health and safety issues and risks. You will undertake health and safety audits and provide reports and feedback as required and also undertake construction site inspections.

About the requirements:

The ideal candidate will have broad experience gained in a Construction health & safety consultancy environment, with excellent client facing skills and a strong technical health and safety background. Our client is looking for a confident, well organised, professional, diligent and commercially aware individual who can be an integral team member but also able to work independently when required.

The role will see the candidate essentially acting as a Health and Safety Advisor to the Principal Designer and therefore demonstrate experience of acting in a CDM Co- ordinator role. You will also have good all round knowledge of the current CDM regulations.

Experience and knowledge of working in a variety of sectors including retail, banking, residential and commercial projects will prove advantageous. The candidate will require a minimum NEBOSH Diploma/Construction Certificate or equivalent with Chartered Membership to IOSH level membership (Although will consider GradIOSH working towards Chartered Status) and have CMaPS/IMaPS status with the Association for Project Safety.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 (soon to be 45001) will be advantageous.
