£40,000 – £50,000 + package (depending on previous experience and suitability)

About the company:

Our privately owned client who is based in Yorkshire, is an industry leader who has acquired over 25 years of contracting experience in earthworks, land remediation and infrastructure within the UK, covering various market sectors including commercial, defence, housing and nuclear. Specific services include demolition, bulk earthworks, highways, remediation and river protection schemes and project values vary from £1M through to £10M.

Our client has an excellent staff retention level which has been gained by constantly focusing on improving standards. About the role:

Due to company expansion and a healthy pipeline of work, our client is recruiting permanently for an experienced General Foreman with vast earthworks / groundworks experience to work on projects throughout the North of England (M1/M62 corridor).

The roles will involve the usual management duties for individual sites, including making sure trades and site teams are put to work and working in the correct manner, monitoring health & safety and making sure standards are maintained, while driving the projects forward to make sure programme targets are achieved.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on previous experience and suitability however successful individuals could expect to target a basic salary anywhere from £40,000 and £50,000. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.

About the requirements:

As this is a permanent position, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate stability of employment throughout their career, holding each appointment for a minimum of 3 years. Furthermore, it is imperative that individuals hold an SMSTS, First Aid certificate and a full, clean UK driving license.
