About the company: Our client is a Specialist Contractor who work on high end refurbishments, Restoration and Heritage projects with a very high profile client base consisting of international business professionals, musicians, film stars and other similar people of high net worth.

About the role:

Our client are in need of an Estimator to be responsible for all front end estimating. You will be responsible for the following:

·To read and understand the Tender Documentation and obtain advice where necessary.

·To prepare a compliant tender to the agreed time scales in accordance with the company’s procedures.

·To analysis supply chain tender returns and to prepare comparisons, identify strengths, weaknesses and deficiencies in the tenders and incorporate the best value tender into the Main Contractors Tender.

·To prepare take offs where necessary.

·Ability to tender work from first principles i.e. to build up tender rates.

·To attend pre, post and post tender interviews when called upon.

· To present the ‘best’ net tender to the Directors for their consideration and to allow a Tender to be submitted by the due date.

·To attend site visits.

·To attend internal handover meetings where a successful tender is transferred to the production team.

Requirements:

The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively with our clients, architects, surveyors or professional teams maintaining a strong working relationship. In addition they will need to be able to extract from the client what they require to develop costs or procure products.

The candidate must have the confidence and ability to deal with clients and professionals at all levels. They must be able to work on a number of projects at any one time without compromise and must be able to feel comfortable with the work load expected in a growing company. Candidates will need to be able to extract from the information provided what can be sub contracted, via procurement; able to send tenders to sub contractors for pricing; negotiate a price or set budgets by whatever means.

You will be experienced and familiar with rates at the high end of the market for refurbishments and have a full understanding of estimating from ground works to finishes.
