£40,000 – £65,000 + package

About the company:

Our privately owned client who is based in Central London is a leading name within the demolition and civil engineering industry with a group annual turnover in excess of £65M, with exciting plans in place for growth. Their services include asbestos removal, temporary works, demolition, remediation, earthworks and groundwork’s and current package values range in value from £500K to £10M.

About the role:

Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, my client is currently recruiting permanently for an experienced Estimator. The successful individual will report directly to the Estimating Manager and will be responsible for putting together tenders, project costings and valuations for demolition and groundwork’s packages throughout London.

Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Preparation of Tender Submissions
  • Producing Bills-Of-Quantities and schedules for estimating programs / tender projects
  • Attending project visits
  • Measuring and Take-Offs from drawings
  • Cost Planning
  • Attending pre and post contract meetings with clients
  • Build-up of Tender Price from first principles based on plans, programme and scope of works

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is imperative that individuals have proven previous success of working with either a civil engineering or specialist demolition contractor in the UK in addition to holding a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this or a similar role.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, we are targeting candidates looking to earn anywhere from £40,000 to £65,000 per annum, however specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
