They work in the Commercial fit out sector of the industry on projects ranging from several thousand to multi-million pound projects for blue chip clients. About the Role:

Reporting to the Contracts Director this is a key position for an achiever who is experienced in “start to finish” of commercial schemes. You will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of high specification projects for key clients throughout London. You will be involved with the projects from start on site to handover and will be required to interact closely with the client at all stages of the construction process. Ensure Contracts achieve the targeted margin, are completed on time, and all site activity complies with the Companies policies and safety practices. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standard of work across all sites. Provide leadership, management and development, ensuring that all Site Managers and Forepersons manage day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for reporting to the management team on the performance of the production function against agreed targets and objectives. The role will involve insuring Health & Safety is maintained with audits, safety plans, compliance to policies, relevant training to subcontractors and employees, accident reports, etc. You will be responsible for operation manuals, programmes, project coordination and contract files.

About the benefits / rewards:

The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £60,000 – £65,000. In addition to the basic salary there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health and travel allowance.

Requirements: You will be well educated and with some knowledge of D&B you will have the ability to communicate at all levels. H&S, programming and delivery within timescales are key requisites of the job. Key candidates will have experience of working on period projects in Central London and live within 1 hour commute of Central London.

The candidate needs to have extensive experience of managing prestigious high end refurbishments and commercial fit out projects. Eexceptional client facing skills are prerequisite as is the ability to manage projects ranging in value £300,000 to £5m.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate stability of employment throughout the duration of their career retaining each appointment for a minimum of 3 years per employer. Candidates should show a flair for management and possess a good level of competence. You should have a relevant degree or similar qualification.

Also you will need:

Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
