An opportunity has been created for a Commercial Manager to join a Regional Civil Engineering Utilities Contractor based in Central London.
As a company they offer a number of Utility Solutions to their clients by working in partnerships and joint ventures schemes with the highest quality organisations. Due to a number of successful tender wins they are in an enviable position with a healthy forward order book for the next 18 months plus.
About the role:
As a senior member of the team you will also be responsible for the financial management of projects, putting together bids for new work and negotiating and agreeing contracts as well as being responsible for the training and development of the junior team.
Ideally you will have risen through the ranks of the industry as an engineer or quantity surveyor.
The role is broad and will include anything from risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing the supply chain.
To be successful in this role you must have a strong commercial awareness, strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership.
Due to the complexity of the projects you will need to have a background in working on previous civil engineering contracts with several years of experience.
Ideally you will be a member of relevant professional bodies, such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Institute of Commercial Management.
About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary of between £63,000 – £70,000p.a. And a generous benefits package including car/ allowance, fuel, bonus, healthcare, pension.
