About the role:

Our client is seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide early cost advice to their commercial clients on potential projects. The Commercial Manager will be key to the success of the account and will act as deputy to the PMO lead. You will act as the focal point for all cost and contract issues on the account from preparation of a capital plan, to preparing high level and detailed project estimates, ensuring that all contracting requirements are in place and appropriate. The Commercial Manager will act as Deputy to the Account Lead on all matters on the account and will be responsible for reviewing and approving proposals from multiple client teams.

 

The Commercial Manager will provide advice to aid the capital planning and feasibility process to gain pre-approval providing high level cost and procurement advice using as much project information as is available. You will oversee the tender process to select 3rd party providers, streamline the cost estimating and reporting process as necessary, gather new cost data and perform high level commercial reviews on all projects and performing occasional audits of cost underspend/escalation on live and completed projects.

 

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on level of experience and will offer up to £65,000 base plus bonus, pension and private medical care.

 

About the requirements:

The ideal candidate will be RICS accredited or demonstrate 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying industry experience. You will ideally have a Graduate degree in a sector related subject.

You will be an articulate, professional individual with excellent client relationship, communication and facilitation skills. You will also display excellent interpersonal skills, confidence and experience in dealing with people of all levels.

In addition, you will have strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload with an attention to detail and willingness to complete projects.
