Business Development Manager – Demolition
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + package
Location: West Sussex

Based in West Sussex, they successfully complete projects both as a principal contractor and as a subcontractor throughout the South East which have values in excess of £5M.

About the Role:

Due to the on-going expansion of the company and winning of new projects in and around London our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to come into their business and help drive continued growth of the Demolition department. As part of the continued development of their South East-based operations, they are seeking an experienced construction business development professional with a proven track-record in identifying and obtaining opportunities across the South-East region within the industry. The successful individual will work alongside the Contracts Manager and the Managing Director and must be able to carry out the following roles and responsibilities with a comfortable level of autonomy:

  • To provide our client with a steady stream of tender opportunities in order to increase turnover and profitability in line with the business plan
  • To promote the image of the organisation within the market place
  • Provide new business opportunities, which reflect the business objectives agreed in the current business plan
  • Identify key decision makers within Clients and other professionals who are able to provide repeat business opportunities which much include house builders and developers such as Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Linden Homes, Crest Nicholson
  • Review regularly potential clients and identify their individual work programmes from which likely new business opportunities will be forthcoming
  • Ensure that the value of new business opportunities is sufficient each month to support and maintain the targeted growth
  • Maintain high market visibility by attending networking and construction events

About the Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, the successful individual must have proven experience of carrying out this position whilst working for a Construction or Civil Engineering Contractor. In addition to this, my client is requiring the Business Development Manager to have experience of working with the top house builders and developers throughout the South East including Taylor Wimpey, Crest Nicholson, Persimmon and Linden Homes.

About the Benefits/Rewards:

The base package for this position is circa £50,000 – £60,000 and the company’s main ambition is to bring an individual into the organisation with the ability to grow and become a valued member of the team.
