Our client operate as a Developer and Investors in multi-sector work. They have over 25 years knowledge in building mixed use developments combining office and retail properties. They have an excellent track record on the completion of major regeneration schemes on time and on budget. Their approach of working in partnership with clients is to achieve operational requirements, whilst maximising commercial potential of each developments.


About the Role:

Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Planner to assist on range of residential and commercial development projects across North London and the Home Counties. This is an opportunity for someone looking to learn and further develop their career with a highly respected company who will be able to provide hands on training, growth and professional development within their growing business. Duties include:

  • To provide a timely, effective and professional total planning service for proposals and projects/phases within a specific division
  • Work independently (within an established framework) on allocated live or future projects.
  • To work on site or at Head Office with the project delivery teams or land / planning teams if earlier in the project lifecycle.
  • Dealing with internal and external clients and advising on a regular consultative basis.
  • Provide full phase programmes, with input into logistic plans, logistic sequence drawings and progress tracking schedules, all developed with project teams and external parties.
  • Monitor construction against client and project team delivery programmes.
  • Assist project team with working programmes and sub-contract planning schedules.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 2 years’ experience as a Junior / Graduate / Assistant Planner
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholder e.g. client and consultancies
  • Knowledge of different construction sequences and methods.
  • Some commercial awareness of the contractual implications of common forms of contract would be beneficial
  • They will have had exposure to pre-plan, pre-construction and delivery stages of projects.
