About the role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and work on refurbishment and maintenance projects. This is an office based role the chosen candidate will need to be able to lead and drive the QS process and meet demanding time lines.


  • Finding out a client’s needs and assessing if their plans are feasible
  • working out quantities and costs of materials, time and labour for tenders
  • negotiating contracts and work schedules
  • writing regular reports on costs and preparing accounts for payment
  • Following health and safety and building regulations
  • Excellent IT and maths skills
  • organisational and planning skills
  • negotiation and leadership skills
  • Preparation of budget and Cost Planning and budgetary control.
  • Taking ownership for optimum cost control, cash and contractual management.



About the benefits

The salary will be dependent on level of exposure the successful candidate has to the industry. The company offers amazing opportunities and is offering a basic salary of around £55,000 – £65,000. In addition to the basic salary there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, and healthcare and travel allowance






The client is looking for someone who is driven and has a hard work ethic. You must also have a structured permanent career. It would be preferable that you have a formal construction degree / qualification in Quantity Surveying. Our client wants someone that is lateral thinking and highly developed problem-solving abilities.
