Our Client is a multi-disciplinary Property and Construction Consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including Commercial, Health, Education, Residential and Community.

Their commissions range from large-scale new build and refurbishment projects to smaller value design and construction work and as a Practice they pride themselves on adding value at every stage of development, from initial survey and concept planning through to the design, engineering and fit-out of interior spaces.

Our client is a medium-sized Consultancy offering integrated design and technical expertise, and they are currently looking to hire a Chartered Building Surveyor to support their diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

Our client are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their building surveying team, which comprises professionally chartered Building Surveyors supported by Trainee and Assistant Building Surveyors. The teams have a broad base of experience and capabilities, handling commissions for a diverse range of clients.
The ideal candidate for the role will have experience of working in the Commercial and Health sectors, and will have undertaken a variety of building surveying work including:

  • Dilapidations
  • Building and condition surveys
  • Construction project design, specification and contract administration
  • Building pathology/defects analysis
  • Design and specification
  • Maintenance works
  • Framework agreements

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree educated in Building Surveying or similar
  • CIOB membership
  • Ideally 2 years industry related experience post Chartership
  • Full driving licence
  • The ability to take on a high degree of responsibility, excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills, combined with a high degree of self-motivation and time management
  • Proven experience of working for an organisation within the Commercial and Healthcare sectors
  • Able to demonstrate a broad-based knowledge of building construction work, monitor contracts and supervise on site and demonstrate effective prioritisation and decision making skills
  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD is an advantage
