Health and Safety Manager- Civil Engineering – M4 Corridor
An opportunity has been created for a Health & Safety Manager to join a Civil Engineering Main Contractor to work on a number of projects spanning across the M4 corridor to include Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Swansea.
As an organisation they are a leading name within Major Civil Engineering Projects to include Rail, Highways, Roads, Tunnelling and Infrastructure. Due to recent tender success the South West Division are currently seeking an experienced individual to lead the rail team. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality advice, guidance and coaching to the team in order to achieve the a safe environment to work in.
Play a key role in establishing and maintaining the highest Health and Safety standards & an Injury-Free Environment
Providing support implementing Safety and Environmental Management Systems
Liaison with external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders
Produce toolbox talks, team talks and appropriate SHE training materials about health and safety issues and risks
Train and mentor the team including graduates whist acting as a advisor for the senior management team
Maintain a working knowledge of all The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation
Essential Criteria
Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager working for a Civil Engineering Contractor
Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office – Word, Powerpoint, Excel
NEBOSH qualification
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of delivering confident articulate presentations
