The 3 Peaks Challenge

The 3 Peaks Challenge

On Saturday 9th July 2016, six friends embarked on an unforgettable journey – The 3 Peaks Challenge!

Not only to take the opportunity to complete this trial of strength and will, but also to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Research UK  – Ian Pollard (Cityscape), Fiona Mahoney, Maxine Powell, Andrew Pollard, Clark Lee & Jess Heyworth-Dunne, decided to take on possibly one of the UK’s most well-known and difficult challenges.

There is nearly half a century of tradition involved with the 3 Peaks Challenge and it involves climbing:

  • Ben Nevis, Scotland’s biggest mountain at 1344m
  • Scafell Pike, England’s biggest mountain at 978m
  • Snowdon, the biggest mountain in Wales at 1085m

To complete this challenge you must start at the foot of Ben Nevis and finish at the foot of Snowdon having reached all three summits within 24 hours.

With the quickest runner coming in with a time of 22hrs 42mins and the last runner coming it at 23hrs 47mins and our very own Ian Pollard coming in at 23hrs 36mins; Cityscape are proud to be supporters of this team who showed dedication, commitment and perseverance in the face of what were some very overwhelming odds.

Please join us in congratulating everyone who took part and show your support by helping us raise some more money towards the team’s charity:

Well done team, we think you earned a cuppa!
