About the Company: Our client is well known for their high quality service for residential and commercial refurbishments and fit outs in new design and conservation work. The company forms a specialist arm of a £80m turnover business and has successfully run in tandem with them for the past 15 years. They specialise in high end residential, commercial refurbishment and alteration for properties throughout London and the South East. Recent projects include Residential refurbishments in Belgravia and Knightsbridge.

About the Role: Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman with Carpentry skills. At present they are expanding their business and have many new projects coming up and already started in and around the London area. You will initially be responsible for a £200k high end residential refurbishment, leading to larger projects.. You must have knowledge of building processes and will be responsible for all the fit-out and finishing stages of the projects. You will need to have experience of taking a project from start to completion and working on the back end of projects to finishing stage.

You duties will include:

  • Attend site meetings as required.
  • Ensure documentation is collated and stored in line with company policies.
  • Ensure that all day-to-day tasks are completed
  • Ensure that all Company procedures are understood and adhered to by site operatives, inc: employee/sub-contractor documentation (CSCS, insurances, etc), employee inductions, performance reviews, discipline and grievance procedures, health and safety policies and procedures, and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Review operatives competences
  • Ensure all operatives are clean & tidy
  • Carry out any reasonable request of a similar nature as directed by Management
  • Ensure compliance with the Company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees/sub-contractors are properly trained on use of plant equipment and conduct themselves in a safe working manner.
  • Report and record accidents in accordance with company, client and legislative requirements,
  • Willing to work on tools as and when required.
  • Implement any improvements required.
  • Ensure all plant, tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Order materials

Requirements: Candidates will ideally have a carpentry background and have at least 3-4 years as a Foreman with a solid permanent employment background. Industry experience will be in the High End residential area. Candidates should be able to demonstrate successful project delivery with the ability to work without support or supervision and a mature attitude to work. You will need to have experience of fit out and finishes of residential developments to a very high standard.
