About the Employer:

Having worked with this contractor for the past 10+ years I have seen them develop in both size and capability. They now currently turnover around £120 million per annum, building concrete frame and groundwork packages ranging in value up to £30 million each for a variety of residential contractors and developers throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties. They have a very modern edge to the business while maintaining traditional roots and are still privately owned by the original MD (who is a true gent). I know each of the directors of this business and I would highly recommend them all as leaders in their own rights, but also as a family like unit that bring out the best in each other.

On a personal note, I believe this company is one of the best not only for the projects they help complete but also because of the environment they create. They go that extra mile to not only retain their staff but to truly keep them happy. Small things have been added to the office like a gym that people have access to all day! They even give extra half hour breaks three times a week for anyone who wants to use it. They have a treatments room where massages and cosmetic treatments are available to everyone on Fridays. All you have to do is book in. And with plans in place for a roof top garden and BBQ area, I’d want to work here myself if I had the relevant experience!

They really are a great company to work for to gain great project experience, to develop capability in modern construction techniques and to be part of the values they believe in and a truly fantastic team.

About the Requirements:

To be successful I am looking for individuals who have worked in this position while with either (ideally) a rival subcontractor or at the very least, while with a construction business. This is due to the specialist nature of works carried out and therefore the specialist training attached. An understanding of each of the roles involved (both on site and in the office), the culture of sites and the offices and a background in training these individuals is key. An additional requirement is a safety qualification with in construction as quite often the two departments do crossover.

About the Remuneration:

For this position I am looking to talk to individuals looking to earn anywhere from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus additional benefits. Salary and benefits will be negotiable at the point of interview and will be offered based on individuals’ capabilities and previous experience in the role.

How to Apply:

I am more than happy to discuss this opportunity with people over the phone or face to face in a fully confidential manner. I know this is an incestuous sector and I fully understand the importance of keeping things discrete.

Alternatively, it would be ideal to see a copy of your CV to understand your previous experience and employment. In line with GDPR, nothing will be done with your CV / details until we have discussed the role in detail anyway, but having gained an understanding of your formal past, this may help when we come to talk and discuss the option.
