Trainee Property Surveyor

£30,000 – £40,000 + Package

Middlesex / Sussex

About the Company:

My client is a privately-owned property giant with a portfolio valued in excess of £2bn including hotels, golf courses, residential space for rent, sale & development, and retail including 2 shopping centres. This exciting, cash-rich company owns, builds, and operates all of its own ventures, making them a truly unique business.  With net assets in the region of £2bn and further land acquisition underway all the time, the project portfolio for this group is substantial and ever-growing.

The property management arm of this business is ever-growing, matching the pace of the increasing portfolio. The current team is made of senior-level industry experts with backgrounds ranging from major consultancies to construction companies to IT.  This fast-moving crack team is well supported at the group level when required but is also allowed autonomy within their remit.

As the property side of the business grows, the team needs to keep up, meaning this exciting business is on a recruitment drive and is looking to secure the services of current and future industry leaders who can support them in their continued growth. Career stability, industry experience, and personality are key to this employer – if you have all three this could the right opportunity for you.

About the opportunity:

This business is looking to add to its property team at grass routes by employing a Junior Property Surveyor to support the growing portfolio. This individual will join the team and will shadow an experienced, RICS-accredited surveyor learning the ropes of the property industry whilst gaining exposure across the amazing portfolio this company boasts, including office, residential, leisure and hospitality. Alongside on-the-job training, the company will put the successful individual through their RICS accreditation along with any other relevant qualifications.

The long-term goal for this role will be to move into a fully-fledged Surveyor role and take over one of the areas of business, potentially all residential or all hospitality, and build that area as the lead for the business.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the industry and experience in related roles. The company offers excellent opportunities for progression alongside a basic salary of around £33k. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.

About the requirements:

This entry-level role will suit someone who has some exposure to the property industry and is looking to make a long-term, career-focused move into surveying with the aim of progressing up the ranks.

The key for my client is that the person is open to learning, hardworking, intelligent, and capable of working in a fast-paced complex environment.
