Our privately owned client who is based in Central London is a leading name within the demolition and civil engineering industry with a group annual turnover in excess of £80M. Their services include asbestos removal, temporary works, demolition, remediation, earthworks and concrete works and their strong reputation for successfully finishing challenging projects has been built on delivery and trust.

With a low staff turnover, this specialist subcontractor, who also operates as principle contractor on several of their projects, rarely recruits and this opportunity has arisen purely due to company expansion. About the opportunity:

Due to ongoing company growth, my client is looking to expand their inhouse temporary works design capabilities and is therefore recruiting permanently for a Design Engineer to provide design engineering services within the Temporary Works Design Team. Reporting directly to the Principle Designer, you will be competent in the production of temporary works within the demolition, substructure, basement construction and / or RC Frame sectors and will represent the company at meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers.

About the Requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you should hold suitable tertiary qualifications and be accredited by a professional body or working towards full chartership. Additionally, you will have vast working knowledge of the current ‘Euro’ code design standards, hold a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in the design of temporary works within sectors such as demolition, substructure, basement construction and / or RC Frames and have good knowledge of the use of AutoCAD / 3D Modelling.

About the Benefits and Rewards:

For this permanent position, my client is targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £55,000 to £70,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
