Technical Manager – Developer

Salary – Up to £70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location: North London

About the Role:

You will be involved with projects from land bid or tender by providing construction technical guidance and co-ordination through to the pre-construction design and technical management functions for delivery of the development and act as the Client focal point and Construction Team Co-ordinator during the construction phase of the project. You duties will include:

  • Setting of Design Team programmes and monitoring of these to ensure the timely delivery of Design Team deliverables.
  • Ensuring that staff reporting to you meets the required standards.
  • Work with the Development, Commercial and Construction teams to produce an overall development preconstruction programme.
  • Produce detailed robust programmes for all activities required to start on site including design contingencies and review periods.
  • Brief the Design Team on the programme requirements, gain agreement to the design/procurement programme and ensure appointments accurately define scope of services and level of information required.
  • Agree targets/incentives and motivate internal team to ensure that targets are known, understood and met.
  • Manage the flow of information internally and ensure coordinated comments are returned to designers and ensuring the lead consultant is coordinating the design including subcontract elements.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 5 years of Technical Management experience
  • Experience of both Residential development
  • Main Contractor experience would be highly beneficial although either this or Developer experience would suit
