This is an opportunity to work for one of the UKs largest combined residential, construction and services group, operating across various sectors including defence, education, housing, industrial, power, transport and utilities. Its residential division with a turnover of £160m as a group, aims to develop more than 2,300 units of both private and affordable housing per year and has a target to deliver 4,000 new homes per annum by 2020. They are an experienced business across 5 regional housebuilding business units.

Going through an exciting period of growth expanding into two new regions in 2018 and currently opening a brand-new region in 2019, they have recently successfully agreed a joint venture to deliver circa 5,000 units over the next ten years to facilitate increased housebuilding.

About the opportunity:

This developer is looking for its first Technical Manager in its Southern Region, a talented individual who can help lead the department who is ambitious and self-motivated. If you work hard and you want more responsibility it will be given to you. You will gain plenty of exposure within this rapidly expanding company.

Initially, you will be based between the new office in Buckinghamshire and an existing office in Bedfordshire until the new office has been established.

You will have direct responsibility for the management and delivery of certain schemes where required; thoroughly review all engineering designs and correct / amend where necessary; ensure that value engineering opportunities are maximised on all schemes and monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure they are communicated throughout the team.

About the benefits and rewards:

In general, salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries will be set at a mutually agreeable level with set parameters to increase in line with performance. In this instance, the company are looking to pay up to £70,000 basic salary plus package.

About the requirements:

You must have an excellent design ability and detailed knowledge of planning, technical, architectural, civil engineering. Building construction is essential, together with experience in the delivery of code for sustainable homes solutions. You will have experience in Authority and Utility Design requirements, together with associated legislation within the construction industry. You must have previous experience in delivering private and affordable projects and managing a number of complex developments concurrently.
