About the company:

This particular company is a nationwide main contractor and residential developer developing land-led opportunities for both open market and affordable housing. The New Homes division of this organisation which this role is for was set up in 2014 and has built a strong portfolio of work across the South of England and now are expanding across the country. Their long term strategy is to build upon the nationwide presence of the group, building on the success established from over three decades of working with communities. They have successfully delivered a number of their own standalone schemes and work with Local Authorities and Registered Providers of affordable homes, using join venture agreements to deliver large projects.

Their success to date is underpinned by successful framework and contract wins; along with a healthy pipeline of development schemes, which are being delivered through a combination of our own sales team, and in collaboration with our clients on a joint venture basis. The business unit currently has 12 live developments with a total of circa 300 plots and 10 sites in preconstruction with a total of circa 500 plots.

Their team is expanding quickly to meet the needs of the business and as with all growth; there is great opportunity for new roles and internal promotion and development.

About the role:

Overall responsibility for Design Development on land led and traditional opportunities up to and including start on site

About the requirements:

  • Ideally 4-5 years’ experience within Housebuilding
  • A proactive, self-motivated and consciousness individual with a stable career history
  • A perceptive individual who, through a natural diplomacy, can influence people in a changing environment.
  • A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organized and can operate independently under a broad direction.
  • A team builder who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and outside.

About the benefits and rewards:

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries might be set below the market level, and subject to performance, increased as the employee gains experience over time. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £55,000 basic salary plus package.
