About the company:

This is your chance to work for one of the UK’s leading homebuilders, proud of their reputation for quality build and design, specification and dedicated customer service. They create new, sustainable communities across England and Wales, with a portfolio of properties ranging from one and two bedroom apartments to five and six bedroom detached family homes.

This particular region is their newest regional office covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire managing over 15 developments including a development of over 3,000 units. This is an exciting time for the business who are not only celebrating a new name reflecting their geographical footprint but they are also settling into brand new offices.

About the role:

Produce accurate working drawing packages to enable any given residential development to be built and as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals.

About the requirements:

  • At least 12 months experience working within a residential house builder
  • In your work experience year for part 1 of an Architect degree
  • In-depth knowledge of CAD
  • Be able to draw freehand and have an accurate eye for detail
  • Be able to visualise objects in three dimensions
  • Be able to design and interpret the designs and technical demands of others
  • Be able to work effectively in a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be practical and methodical with good analytical skills
  • Behave in line with our values
  • Knowledge of other design packages (Photoshop, JPA designer, sketch-up)
  • Prepare SAP Assessments and obtain PEA’s / EPC’s
  • Working knowledge of Code for Sustainable Homes

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries might be set below the market level, and subject to performance, increased as the employee gains experience over time. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £50,000 basic salary plus package
