This family run organisation has a turnover of circa £400m making them the third largest private housebuilder in the UK. The figures reflect the growth the business has experienced since 2012 – more than doubling its sales volume. This growth is underpinned by some substantial developments coming on stream.  These include a residential led student accommodation scheme in Cambridge and a large development in Oxford. They have also partnered up with Housing Associations signing their largest deal to date for 2 sites in East London with a combined GDV of £350m.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be expected to be site based once the project is live on site, however will need to be based at the Oxfordshire Office until site commences. They would be required to take the lead on all design matters for this project but may be provided with an Assistant during the course of the project which they will be expected to manage on a day to day basis.

About the requirements:

  • Degree qualified with BSc Hons in Construction Management/Architectural Technology or a similar industry related qualification.
  • Likely to be from a Contractor background, but would consider developer or private practice.
  • RC frame experience is essential.
  • Recent experience of working on mixed used schemes incorporating both residential and affordable housing.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to really hit the ground running.
  • Recent experience of working on centralised heating systems.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive and be able to demonstrate ability to co-ordinate and lead the design process unaided.

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries might be set below the market level, and subject to performance, increased as the employee gains experience over time. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £60,000 basic salary plus package.
