About the company:

We are representing a Residential Developer specialising in high quality residential and mixed use developments. This highly successful and growing business works across the South East of England on projects ranging from to 1,300 units typically. They are continuously focusing on brownfield sites as well as strategic land which is essentially greenfield land acquired with the knowledge that it could lead to a development opportunity at a later date.

Its business strategy is to increase the size of its strategic land bank, including brownfield sites; looking to add value to its land bank by navigating complex sites through the planning system; maximising the value from the land bank through housing developments and direct sales and ensuring a strong and flexible balance sheet.

One of their largest developments to date in Hertfordshire is a mixed use urban village with up to 2,000 units on 30 acres of land of which 18 acres are either owned or controlled by this company’s joint venture company. Other developments include 400 homes in Aylesbury, 135 apartments in West London and a Grade 2 listed refurbishment with a bespoke design alongside a new residential building of 58 units.

About the role:

To ensure tender and construction work packages are comprehensive and fully considered before their timely release and to provide a technical supportive role during the construction phase. Due to successful growth they have several Technical Coordinator positions available:

  • TC site based in West London OR Surrey based on candidates location and as preferred. This is because both sites are currently at the same stages of build
  • TC site based in Uxbridge and also involved with a scheme in Hertfordshire to some extent

About the requirements:

  • Degree in Architectural Technology or Similar
  • Ideally a minimum of 4 years continuous experience working in the construction industry having a background in either architecture or engineering. The last 2 years working within the residential sector for a development company or main contractor

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £45,000 basic salary plus package.
