About the company:

Our client is a Residential Developer in Hertfordshire specialising on developments throughout the South-East.  This particular developer has been running for over two decades and is a subsidiary of a PLC developer who specialise within residential housebuilding in the UK and overseas. The company turnovers circa £150million per annum and have a healthy project pipeline.

About the role:

You will be reporting to the Design & Planning Manager and as you will be joining a small team the chance for progression is not limited as you will have the chance to get involved with all aspects of the Design stage.

  • Working closely with the Design and Planning Manager.
  • Supporting management of the Design Team.
  • Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
  • Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescale.
  • Ensure proper coordination between different design teams.
  • Attending Housing Association startup meetings and co-ordinating relevant actions. Ensuring consultants provide the necessary information to required programme.
  • Commenting on architectural planning and working drawings including collating internal comments by Sales, Construction, Design, etc. Checking comments have been incorporated on subsequent issues.
  • Building Regs submissions. Checking status of conditions and coordinating information required from consultants.
  • Assisting with discharging of planning condition.

  • Residential experience either with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer
  • Degree Qualification or equivalent

  • Architectural / Design or technical background is not essential but is advantageous

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary offered always depends on the level of experience of the candidate and their exposure to the relevant industry sector. In this instance they are looking to pay up to £45,000 basic plus package. The package includes:
