About the company:

We are working in partnership with this Residential Developer with a turnover of £150m who due to successful growth is looking to expand the team with a Technical Coordinator. Based in Hertfordshire, near the m25 operating within the m25 and northern counties they have 22 live developments with 10 new sites about to start and the projects are high class homes and apartments.

 About the role:

You will be reporting to a very experienced Technical Manager who has experience of successfully delivering high end residential schemes in Central London working for award winning Architectural Practices and has experience of delivering Traditional Build Residential schemes.

With the role itself you will have the chance to get involved with all aspects of the Design stage and other duties will include:

  • Working closely with the Technical Manager
  • Supporting management of the Design Team.
  • Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
  • Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescale.
  • Ensure proper coordination between different design teams.
  • Commenting on architectural planning and working drawings including collating internal comments by Sales, Construction, Design, etc. Checking comments have been incorporated on subsequent issues.
  • Building Regs submissions. Checking status of conditions and co-ordinating information required from consultants.
  • Assisting with discharging of planning condition.
  • Understanding requirements for the following and ensuring these are incorporated into the design information:
  • SAPS
  • Lifetime Homes
  • Code for Sustainable Homes
  • Secured by Design

About the requirements:

  • A degree in Architecture / Architectural Technology
  • You can be considered if you are an Architectural Technologist / Architectural Technician from an Architectural Practice OR an in house design team OR a Technical Coordinator from a Residential background with either a Developer / Contractor.

About the benefits and rewards:

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries might be set below the market level, and subject to performance, increased as the employee gains experience over time. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £45,000 basic salary plus package.
