About the company

My client is a well-established surfacing contractor with a superb reputation within the South West & South East of England. With a turnover of £25M and over 30 years’ experience as a company they are now in a superb position to reinvest into the business and continue its growth. They specialise within surfacing and work within the residential, commercial, public and industrial sectors. The projects they work on range from £1M – £4M.

About the opportunity

Due the company expanding and winning several surfacing contracts throughout the UK they are now looking for a Site Supervisor to support the project manager. The projects that you will be involved in will be surfacing within a roads and highways environment.

The successful candidate will need to construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified time frame with correctly allocated resources.  You’re going to need to optimise outputs and reduce the need for overtime working to allow all colleagues to keep a good working pattern throughout the week. It’s important to note that you’ll also need to ensure safety compliance’s and promote safe working practices. As the potential new Site Supervisor, you will be in charge of monitoring construction activity on site and make sure that they meet up to the quality standards put in place.

Requirements

It is important to have at least 5 years’ experience working within Surfacing as a Site Supervisor and to show good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for.

You’ll also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
