  • Civil Engineering
  • London

About the company

My client is a multi-disciplined, cash-rich, well-known sub-contractor who is currently turning over £90M per annum with projections of turning over £100M in the next year. They specialise primarily within the water (wastewater and clean water) and infrastructure/non-infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent, and on the south coast (this role will be based in their North London office). The company has some of the best staff in the industry working for them, they are very well respected across the utility industry and they’re financially very secure and in a stable position. While the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain its family feel atmosphere, where it’s a fun working environment and everyone, is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company. This is a contractor I enjoy recruiting for. Over the last 4 and a half years I have placed 3 of their senior managers and all of them are still there and enjoying it.

They are a relationship-based contractor and pride themselves on the quality of the work that they produce. This has led them to have repeat business with Thames Water, holding certain frameworks for over 30 years. On top of this, they have long-standing relationships with Affinity Water, Southern Water, and South East Water and have recently started working with Anglian Water.

About the role

Due to the company continuing to grow and win more projects across London they are now looking for a Sub Agent to join their team. The successful candidate with need to have the ability to produce, manage and drive Quality on each project as well as the ability and confidence to raise, discuss and resolve engineering issues on site, and with design engineers. The projects that you will be involved in will be Thames water works but infrastructure-based projects, involving deep drainage and concrete works. This opportunity has superb potential to help the correct professional to improve as an engineer and enhance their long-term career. The types of projects you will be working on will be a mixture of clean & waste water infrastructure projects, these projects will involve deep drainage, temporary works, shafts, and tunnelling.

Benefits and Rewards

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a proper Civil Engineering brain, someone who likes a variety of projects where no project is the same, and someone who likes technical projects. You will have the chance to work for a company where you’re treated as a name, not a number, and brilliant performance certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. You have the chance to work for a thriving, growing, and friendly team that gives you the chance to enjoy work every day but helps a business grow and potentially achieve some personal career goals. You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000 + package
