My client is a multi-disciplined, cash rich, well known sub-contractor who are currently turning over £60M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (waste water and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent and on the south coast (this role will be based on sites covering Hampshire, Kent and Sussex).

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand they are also keen to maintain their family feel atmosphere where it’s a fun working environment and everyone is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company.

About the opportunity

The company are looking for a Site Supervisor to work on their Southern Water contract in Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.  The successful professional will be expected to operate and promote a high standard of health and safety by ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in place for all aspects of the works. You’ll have to check engineering drawings/specifications, identifying and resolving design conflicts.

You’ll be in charge of undertaking management of Sub Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers and sub-contractors whilst you work closely and report directly to the project manager.

The projects that you will be involved in will range from waste water and clean water, developer services, repair and maintenance and sewer connections.

No Freelances will be considered for this role.

Requirements

  • Ideally the successful candidate would need experience working in the water sector.
  • Civil Engineering Qualification – Degree level or equivalent
  • Site agent experience working for a sub-contractor or a main contractor.
  • Background working on utility related projects.
