My client is a subdivision of a well-respected tier one main contractor with a turnover of £90 million per annum. Well known within the industry for its innovative and forward-thinking protocols, the company has maintained its high standards, time management, and budgeting of projects for nearly 45 years. Since 2010, the firm has been known for its exceptional technical capabilities and high standards of work across the civil engineering and utilities sector. Specialising in any site constraints and enabling works in disused industrial or commercial spots. This firm allows candidates to work closely with utility companies such as National Grid, and UK Power Network. Along with firms within the transport sector such as Transport for London and Highways Agencies.

About the opportunity

My client was selected as a tier-one contractor based in London and the Southeast turning over £90 million, this subdivision has projects ranging in value from £5,000 – £5 million. The projects you will be working on will involve wastewater, deep drainage, S278 works, and multi utilities. As well as working on a great variety of schemes you will also have a great leadership team on top of you, a leadership team with a great amount of experience within Civil Engineering, working for some brilliant companies within the UK Civil Engineering industry, allowing you to learn from some of the best.

You will be to co-operate with, report to, and implement the reasonable directives of the Project Manager. You will be responsible for managing several civil gangs throughout the project, along with planning, setting to work, site audits, team meetings, and toolbox talk to ensure the teams are understanding their works safely and compliantly with Gangers and General Operatives reporting to the successful candidate regularly.

About the requirements:

Candidates ideally will require having experience in utilities, preferably wastewater, and have previous experience working on street works (NRSWA) qualification, along with a full clean driving license to allow mobility around the sites. Along with having experience running gangs to the specific deadlines provided by the authorise. Your work history needs to be stable; ideally working at previous companies for 3 years or more.
